Walgreens in Lincoln, Nebraska - Walgreen overcharged by $500

Walgreen was not running my prescriptions through my insurance correctly. They told me the only way I could get my prescription refilled was to pay the $10/pill charge. I did a partial fill for 10 pills, five different times. After the partial fill, they would run it through insurance correctly and it would work. I finally got tired of this and called the insurance company. They had no record of Walgreen calling in originally, or using the computer to send it in. So Walgreen was padding their pockets by over charging. When they got caught, I was told by Mitch, the store manager, that the store would provide a refund. I received a call today saying it would be TWO months, and I may not get a refund, depending on how the home office felt. Avoid Walgreen at all costs. They lie, cheat and steal. Chronic pain patients are treated rudely, but then again, so is every other patient. Walgreen will do anything to pad their bottom line, even cheat on medications. Please do not use them, boycott, they are crooks, run by crooks and will pocket as much of your hard earned money they can, then boldly lie to you on why... I think it only fair they allow patients to take up to two months to pay, and then decide if they want to pay or not.

Texas Walgreens from ***

First Walgreens refused to transfer prescriptions for my family members because they "didn't have time." We were told to call in one by one when they needed to be filled. I was attempting to transfer them from Oregon to Austin, Texas. So my question was, if you don't know what I'm taking because you refuse to transfer them, then how will you know if a new doc in Texas orders something that when mixed with another med I'm taking could cause an adverse reaction or kill me???? They had no answer to that. We then moved within Austin and I began using another Walgreens from ***, this one at South First and Stassney Lane. Here you get to wait in line at the drive through in 103-ish degree heat for upward of 30 minutes for your prescription. If you go into the store it's just as bad. If you telephone them, you are put onto interminable hold. It is the pharmacy that physicians have asked their patients not to use because they can't get through on the phone line. My son in law was the ONLY person in the lobby on a holiday; no one in the drive through, he called me on his cell and told me that as well as the fact that there were several people working in the pharmacy. I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR OVER 30 MINUTES. I was also told that is their modus operendi, to just leave people on hold until they give up so they can fill their backlog of prescriptions. 2. Now I am totally pissed off after a year and a half of this, so I write down every prescription by patient name and date of birth, the drug name, strength and Walgreens prescription number and I go over to CVS and ask them to transfer them all. Daughter has a dental abscess and dentist called in antibiotic. CVS couldn't bill insurance because THE PHARMACIST AT THE FIRST PLACE REFUSED TO GIVE HIM BILLING INFORMATION OR THE NAMES OF THE DOCTORS WHO HAD PRESCRIBED OUR MEDS. No professional courtesy to a colleague. She literally SCREAMED at me on the phone when I called her to ask WTH kind of professional are you anyway???? Said she was "busy". I said, then tell him you'll call him back; tell him you'll fax the info in a couple hours; tell him you'll have one of your techs get back with him in the evening......ANYTHING!!!!! She tried to tell me it was Walgreen's policy NOT TO GIVE INFORMATION TO ANOTHER PHARMACY. I went to another Walgreens at 10:30 last night, asked for a printout of my billing information and was given it immediately. Do not LIE to me about it being POLICY. You are just one lazy, unprofessional sorry excuse for an employee. NEVER again will I set foot in another Walgreens. I cannot believe how pleasant and professional the guys are at the CVS on South Congress and Stassney in Austin. They are a dream.

Walgreens in Baltimore, Maryland - Rude Pharmacist

I went into K-Mart to fill a prescription I had got an hour earlier. They told me they did not have this particular drug, but told me to check Walgreens or Wal-Mart. I drove ten minutes down the road to Walgreens and went to the Pharmacy. The woman I talked to informed me that she needed more insurance information, despite the fact that I gave her my insurance card. She told me she needed to call K-mart but said she did not have their number, she recommended I drive to K-mart, get the number, come back, and she could fill it for me. What the ***. Use a *** phone book or one of your *** computers to get their number! She proceeded to say "Honey, I can't do anything about it. You need to go get their number and come back." I took my prescription, took one last look at this woman and wondered how anybody could be this *** ***, and I went to Wal-Mart. I had my prescription ready within ten minutes. The way customer service should be.

Walgreens in a mess

I worked there in their call center in miami, there is a patient call to curse ,being discreminated, and i got fired because they said i did not have a good tone and inflection. On top of that i did not get pay for my vacation.I am wondering what they mean by tone and inflection .I was a top player ,always met performance, having good adherence, but it happened that they said that I am going to school and i will not stay longer with them after graduated so they had to find a way to fire me.So they set up someone to call ,it was not a regular patient that was calling. How I know,my call came to a different code from what I had.It is so unfair, but God will handle that for me.

Walgreens does NOT support the military!!

I saw a commercial for Walgreens on television the other night where they state something about being there for our soldiers and military. I take great offense to that statement being that I am a retired 20 year military Veteran myself and had been using Walgreens as my own pharmacy for quite some time until I got a letter from Humana military/Tricare stating that Walgreens was dropping Tricare and would no longer be accepting our medical insurance and we needed to change the pharmacy that we use as soon as possible. This is the medical insurance used by both active duty and retired military. So basically Walgreens is saying to us, Thank you for your service, now take your business elsewhere because we don't want you. But they do of course take people who get government assistance. I don't go in Walgreens at all if I don't have to and it is totally despicable, and a slap in the face to us that you are claiming to support us on television because you and I both know that this is NOT the case!

Walgreens in New York, New York - Rude Service

I am writing to you to tell you do not shop at Walgreens when you are loading a Clipper card. These people do not know their jobs. I use to load my SamTrans bus pass onto Clipper by going to Walgreens and paying Cash. They do not listen to me. One of them even want me to spend more money than I really do. Sam Trans have 2 different bus pass. The one that is local and the other bus pass is the local to travel within S.F. I told her local. I did not say that I needed the other bus pass that travels within San Francisco. I managed to get the bus pass I needed.
