Walgreens

I was done wrong by Walgreen they fired me for something that I could not help. They are keeping me from getting unemployment. They said that they fired me for no call no show, when I could not call or show. I had my husband go and talk to them for me but that was not good enough. If you get into some civil problems and you go to jail you can more then likely expect to lose your job for not being able to get in touch with them yourself. they do not care what happened to you.No matter how long you worked for them or how hard you worked.

Uhhh yeah a no call no show is exactly what you did. They are supposed to know your in jail??

If they don't give you a paycheck and forget to tell you about it what would you do?? ***

This is part of being a responsible adult. You being in jail is not a reason to not be able to call your job.

You did not get unemployment because you were fired for something that was in your control. If you take care of your civil matters, you dont go to jail.

I have an injured foot that needs to be xrayed in the next two weeks. My doctor finally prescribed me a prescription for pain and I went to walgreen's to fill it. Only I was told they were out of stock and they could call around to find a pharmacy that carried it....

Ask for an Rx to be written with 'may substitute' on it from your doctor in the future. That way they can use an equivalent medication. Often, it's just one very specific medication that they are unable to fill.

Walgreens COMPLIMENT!

My doctor diagnosed me with walking pneumonia yesterday. I ended up having to leave work early because I was so sick. He called my perscriptions in to the Walgreen's in Humble, TX on the Eastex Freeway and FM 1960 since that is two minutes from my job. Before I headed out of work to pick the perscriptions up, I called to make sure they had been called in because I hate sitting at a pharmacy forever waiting. I called a few times and they still hadn't been called in. When I called the fourth time, the pharmacy tech said "You sound like you aren't feeling to well. Would you mind holding while I check the voicemail?" Wow! What customer service! It turns out that it was on the voice mail and they filled it right away. The people at that pharmacy are as nice in person as they are on the phone.

So I take it all those women who are Pharm D.'s know nothing?

I wonder what professional title you have, kymmberlie, that you can belittle women pharmacists?

You obviously work at that Walgreens. This site is pissedconsumer.

Not suck up to my employer to get a raise. Learn how to read. I bet you don't even have the pneumonia. You just made a compliment and the person that "helped" you was you yourself.

You are just writing a good review for yourself to get a raise. Stop it loser.

This is not the way the world works you ***. The truth is Wal-greens sucks because they hire women as pharmacists when women don't know a thing about medication.

apparently you don't need a college degree to work in the pharmacy at walgreens. they don't know how to use the computer, lose prescriptions, and have generally really poor service. having visited there many times for prescriptions, they are consistantly...

Walgreens and CVS will ALWAYS be understaffed. They are there to MAKE MONEY.

You have prescription insurance and you will come back next time regardless of the wait time.

You wait an hour but save $100 b/c of your insurance co-pay. It's a trade off and Walgreens, CVS take advantage of that.

You have way too much time on your hands. To drive to the store to see why they are not answering phone?

Leaving phone off hook does not stop it from ringing. Learn a little paitience, I know old people are in a hurry to die but relax a little

Are the Qualifications to be Employed at the Walgreens Pharmacy are you have to be Rude and Nasty?

If my title (Are the Qualifications to be Employed at the Walgreens Pharmacy are you have to be Rude and Nasty?) The answer is YES. I have tried different pharmacys but for some reason the Walgreen employees are the nastiest pharmacists and front desk employees I have ever dealt with in my life. Why is that? I truly mean why is that? I sit and ponder the rational of my own question and come up with nothing. Does the Walgreens Corporation review this site? Do they even care how much their employees effect their customers or even us as people? It's funny how customer service works. How much a simple extra pleasant gesture can make from one person to another. What a change in a person's day these nasty employees can make if they just took a mere second to treat the customer with kindness and helpfullness. That one second of effort? Is that really take that much time?

Sorry to hear your experience. We have three Walgreens here in Yakima, Washington, and I shop them all the time, but I have never had to deal with employees less than courteous and helpful.

However it's at Wal-MART I usually run into the real "winners" for rude employees. LOL

Walgreens in Chicago, Illinois - WALGREEN'S not honoring posted price

I went to buy milk at the Belle Meade Walgreen's and they had two rows of milk at $1.99 I have bought it at this price before. When I got to the register it rang up over $3.39 and I explained it was on sale. She called a girl and I showed her the two rows and she said NO it says juice not milk. and the milkman put the overstock in the wrong place. I said I can't read the small print and you have two rows. Please give at the price She was the manager Michelle and she said NO! I left very unhappy.

No it was posted for milk and Walgreen's district manager saw the sign and agreed it was their error in posting and honored the posted price. THEIR ERROR!

in his words.

so YOU ARE AN ***!crawl back under the rock you crawled out of!

The posted price was for juice, not milk. You were, unfortunately wrong, and should have accepted the fact. No one expects you to be happy about it, but you shouldn't expect them to pay for your mistake.
