You have way too much time on your hands. To drive to the store to see why they are not answering phone?

Leaving phone off hook does not stop it from ringing. Learn a little paitience, I know old people are in a hurry to die but relax a little

Are the Qualifications to be Employed at the Walgreens Pharmacy are you have to be Rude and Nasty?

If my title (Are the Qualifications to be Employed at the Walgreens Pharmacy are you have to be Rude and Nasty?) The answer is YES. I have tried different pharmacys but for some reason the Walgreen employees are the nastiest pharmacists and front desk employees I have ever dealt with in my life. Why is that? I truly mean why is that? I sit and ponder the rational of my own question and come up with nothing. Does the Walgreens Corporation review this site? Do they even care how much their employees effect their customers or even us as people? It's funny how customer service works. How much a simple extra pleasant gesture can make from one person to another. What a change in a person's day these nasty employees can make if they just took a mere second to treat the customer with kindness and helpfullness. That one second of effort? Is that really take that much time?

Sorry to hear your experience. We have three Walgreens here in Yakima, Washington, and I shop them all the time, but I have never had to deal with employees less than courteous and helpful.

However it's at Wal-MART I usually run into the real "winners" for rude employees. LOL

Walgreens in Chicago, Illinois - WALGREEN'S not honoring posted price

I went to buy milk at the Belle Meade Walgreen's and they had two rows of milk at $1.99 I have bought it at this price before. When I got to the register it rang up over $3.39 and I explained it was on sale. She called a girl and I showed her the two rows and she said NO it says juice not milk. and the milkman put the overstock in the wrong place. I said I can't read the small print and you have two rows. Please give at the price She was the manager Michelle and she said NO! I left very unhappy.

No it was posted for milk and Walgreen's district manager saw the sign and agreed it was their error in posting and honored the posted price. THEIR ERROR!

in his words.

so YOU ARE AN ***!crawl back under the rock you crawled out of!

The posted price was for juice, not milk. You were, unfortunately wrong, and should have accepted the fact. No one expects you to be happy about it, but you shouldn't expect them to pay for your mistake.

Walgreens in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Walgreen's Bait and Switch

Walgreen's circular advertised a shower chair and actually showed a picture of the chair in the circular. When I went to the store to purchase the chair they only had the more expensive version of the chair in stock. Then I asked if this version was $10 off as well. There was a meeting of 3 employees and after a 10 minute wait I was told this chair was NOT included in the promotion.I came home and went to Walgreen's website and wrote a letter complaining about what appeared to be a bait and switch tactic. I received a form letter with some inane speech about how Walgreen's tries to address consumer concerns. BAIT and SWITCH!!! UGH.

there are narrow minded employees everywhere, they are just afraid of "big brother". I see big picture, a DM once said to me " you will never get in trouble for overcompensating the customer" I've been around a while, if it don't feel ethically wrong do it.

I would've given $10 off the higher one or at least a rain check on the advert one. NOT BAIT AND SWITCH, careful slander, is a delicate word.

Walgreens is the worst store I have ever seen for not having the items that are on sale.I don't go there anymore. If you continue to patronize a store that does business the way walgreens does it just encourages other stores to do the same.

Tasha, why don't YOU get off your butt and do something more productive than to spout off your *** opinions.

To the poster, Walgreen's is notorious for advertising a product without enough inventory. It is a shame but you aren't the first one this has happened to.

They were obviously sold out. They are not going to save one for slackers. next time get your big butt out sooner before they are sold out.

my response had everything to do with your post! you had mentioned that the pharmacist denied giving you any advice!

i said that the only case in which a pharmacist cannot legally provide medical advice is when that advice concerns a child under the age of two. in any other case a pharmacist should be able to provide advice unless it is a new product (over the counter) or something they have never heard of or arent familiar with in that case they should explain to you why they cant provide any advice and refere you to someone who can or another source! in anycase we have alot of sources and many medications and conditions are accessable through our systems where we can then gather information we are unsure of!

if they were to busy to look it up then they should have gotten your number and called you back when they had the chance! and i signed in as one person not two not sure who copied my post!

They can not give you additional information regaurding why the pills were missing because if they do suspect a dishonest tech. they dont want word to get out perhaps the tech get tipped off or over hear and suspect thier being watched they'd rather keep quiet and bust them!

plus techs get wrote up for these mistakes! when a tech is wrote up it is between them and the employeer! and i can tell you first hand the pharmacist didnt suspect you were a junky if he gave you the pills and acknowledge it was thier mistake. he probably considered it when you first called considering the class of medication and the fact it is required to be double counted.

but once checking inventory and on hands and realizing he was over probably veared his suspicions towards the tech at that point he was confident in you as a patient! it is natural for pharmacies to assume a junky in these cases from the beginning we have to consider there are dishonest ppl out there that will go to no ends to get thier drugs and can get us fired if we dont take precaution when filling controlls! but you should always investigate the issue cause we are human we make mistakes and there are dishonest employees!

therefore he did an excellent job at handling the situation! and im almost positive the filling tech got a write up at the least!
