Walgreens in Lincoln, Nebraska - Totally incompetent

1.0
Details
I went to a Walgreens pharmacy to get a prescription filled - first time at any Walgreens. I went to the same Walgreens store on Tuesday before Thanksgiving (about 2 weeks later) to have it refilled. On Wednesday when I went to pick it up, they told me the prescription was a compound that needed to be prepared within the pharmacy and that the powder portion needed had expired and they would order it and I would be able to pick it up on Friday or Saturday and they would call me when it was ready. I stopped by on Friday and was told it was not ready and it had not been ordered and would be in on Monday. I stopped in again on Monday and they checked again and it STILL had not been ordered. They would order it and have it over-nighted so they would receive it on Tuesday and could have it ready for me on Wednesday morning and they would call me when it was ready. At 8:30 on Thursday night (even though they still had not called me as promised repeatedly) I went in again to pick it up. It took a few minutes for them to find it. It needed to be stored in the refrigerator. The first bottle I got was not labelled as needing refrigeration. When I got home to apply the medication, the second bottle is also listed as needing to be shaken well before use. The first bottle did not list the need to be shaken either. When I complained (yeah, rather loudly) they made their excuse about Thanksgiving and how they didn't charge me for the over-night delivery either. If they had done their jobs it would not have taken 9 days to refill a prescription. So, the first bottle was not properly labelled as needing to be shaken. Not was it properly labelled as needing to be refrigerated. Given their total incompetence, I have no confidence that the first prescription used a compound which had not already expired and may well have been completely ineffectual since the bottle was not properly labelled as needing refrigeration and to be shaken well. Nine days to fill a prescription and they never even bothered to call me as promised. So many inexcusable levels of incompetence. DON'T EVER GET PRESCRIPTIONS FILLED AT A WALGREENS. YOUR HEALTH DESERVES BETTER. YOUR LIFE MAY DEPEND ON IT.

Walgreens in Charlotte, North Carolina - If you want customer service...look elsewhere

1.2
Details
TERRIBLE pharmacy customer service... I was looking to change out my current pharmacy because I thought that that my old pharmacy was lacking in customer service. As it happened I was in need of a prescription immediately and went to my old pharmacy, but they were out of my prescription in tablet form and could not fill the prescription as written. So off I go to find another pharmacy that could. I stopped at another nationwide pharmacy and was told the same thing, that they could not fill the prescription in tablet form. So off I go again. I stopped at the Walgreens on River Hwy. in Mooresville,.and was told by one the techs (I believe his name was Steve, but I may be wrong on the name) that yes, they could fill the order. I told him that I wanted to switch pharmacies and he said no problem. He entered all my personal info and health insurance into their database and it would be no problem. (I was one of only 2 people waiting for a prescription at the time). After waiting 1 hour (yes, I sat there for an hour and watched at least ten other people get their orders filled. Steve had sporadically checked for my order three times and apologized that it was not ready each time (He was working the counter and the drive thru). Finally, I walked up to the counter and loudly said in front of a couple customers that were waiting along with me, "Why am waiting over an hour for my prescription that needed to be filled?!". It was one prescription for 45 tablets. Everyone in the pharmacy department stopped and looked at me. Finally, NICK who was the one that was supposed to get my order filled, looked over and his faced turned red and his hands started shaking and he began filling my order from start to finish. Why he waited an hour to do this has me perplexed. He was obviously very irritated. Well, I got my order and asked for the name of the person who filled my order (Nick). I finally got home ( after waiting almost 75 minutes for my one prescription) and opened my script to find out that they had filled the order with capsules instead (remember, two other pharmacies would not fill the order because it was for tablets and they were not in stock). So I tried to call Walgreens, but could not get through, with the phone message saying they were busy filling orders. Called Walgreens corporate and spoke with a friendly customer representative named Casey (sp?) who told me my concerns would be forwarded to upper management and the manager of that particular store (whose name i was told was Margaret) I thanked her for her attention. An hour later, i received a call from a person named RAY, who said HE was the manager and that there was no Margaret (what?). He then proceeded to tell ME, that the script was for capsules. I told him two other stores would not fill it because they only had the capsules in stock. I then asked him WHY it took so long and why had NICK IGNORED my order for almost an hour? He did not want to address that issue and insisted on talking over me on the phone and not addressing the waiting issue. RAY was VERY rude to me and very unprofessional as a manager that works in customer service. It sure seemed he only interested in covering for his employee and himself and not working out a solution to this particular situation. Very sad that Walgreens has employees that act like this. I am presently waiting on a phone call from corporate to find out why I was treated this way. AVOID Walgreens on River Hwy in Mooresville,NC!

Walgreens - Pharmacist Review from Lynwood, California

1.0
Details
I just attended your location at 2726 Pacific Ave in Long Beach, and I had the WORST customer service experience I have had in my entire life!!! My boyfriend and I just got out of a 24 hour hospital stay in Fountain Valley Regional where he had major reconstructive surgery. But the time we got the chance to be released my boyfriend just wanted to go home but was still in excruciating pain so we called this Walgreens ahead of time as most others are all closed by now or don't have the correct meds, to ensure they have his meds in stock and we can pick them up promptly. A guy named Derek insured we could pick up Oxycodone here for the pain and takes down all our info ahead of time, just says to bring an ID. He said their insurance system was down but it could be filled no problem if we are paying cash. We jump in the car and drive the 30 mins here (20 mins past our home in Belmont Shore) and they tell us 2 hour wait to fill 30 pills although the place is completely empty and it's 10 pm. First of all, I have never been to a pharmacy with a 2 hour wait, and we were given no explanation whatsoever why. Especially at 10 pm when the place was completely empty! We were obviously very upset as my boyfriend is in awful pain and just got out of surgery a few hours ago which I clearly explained on the phone... Your employees couldn't have explained the 2 hour wait over the phone?! I had to drive the 20 mins home to try my best to make him as comfortable as possible and now have to drive 20 mins back to be there by midnight after an obviously stressful hospital stay because of your uncaring, incompetent employees. My boyfriend is still in the worst pain in his life. Pharmacist and assistant didn't care whatsoever even after seeing him in the hospital gown and all. We are FURIOUS, to say the least. All they had to do to make it right is fill the *** prescription as no one was waiting except us and they were all just standing around anyway. That's what good customer service is, especially when they see someone in obvious EXCRUCIATING pain! I will never attend another Walgreens again after this uncalled for experience, and you bet we'll be telling all our friends and family the way Walgreens treats its loyal customers and to choose any other pharmacy except Walgreens. Word of mouth marketing is very powerful and we have a lot of friends and family. If I was the store manager, I'd fire the entire crew here. Shame on you for having the worst, most inconsiderate customer service we have ever experienced!!!

Walgreens in Memphis, Tennessee - Lack of Customer Service and rudeness in the Pharmacy Department

2.2
Details
Walgreens 2655 Frayser Blvd. Memphis, Tn. 38127 I've decided I will never allow them to fill or refill any more of my Prescriptions. I'm not on the corner of Healthy and Happy; NOT in the least. I called to check on my scripts; I was on hold for one hour. Someone picked up and hung the receiver up. From there I decided to go to the drive thru. It was not ready. I came back the next day, still not ready. I came back to the drive thru, I waited a total of 56 minutes, when I got up there my scripts still were not ready. The extern was rude and left the window while I was still talking to her. In pain with a shoulder injury I decided it was best not to go into the store and that was a good thing for her...This is one of several incidents at this location. The overall lack of customer service and rudeness is surreal. For some reason the pharmacy team feels as though they are there to do the patients a favor and not to provide a collective service. Team work and new training needs to take place at this location. Oh, I am also reporting the externs via Concorde. La Marlo Anderson

Walgreens - Manager Review from Saint Joseph, Missouri

Walgreens internal policies, systems and training is completely lacking. I just found out that when you try to return an item the store will not give you the money back...only store credit. My purchase was 105, I only returned $17 (one an item that broke on first use) . They gave me the full value of the items I returned AND put the 5 reward credit back on my rewards card. ***! after calling corporate customer service the unhelpful man finally said that if I'd returned it at the other store in the same town where I made the purchase that they would have given me my money back! This store manager didn't know that and I doubt it's even true because this man said repeatedly ...it's at the managers descretion...well she had no idea how to process it. I'm extremely pissed off because even though it wasn't much money I shouldn't have to spend it there! The receipt doesn't even mention this secret clause on it! This isn't the first time I've found them unable to do the right thing....and calling customer service will only make you more upset with their policies! I'm moving our scripts and never going there again.

Walgreens - Burberry Touch Cologne Review from Union City, New Jersey

On Nov. 27, 2015 I ordered on line 2 bottles of BURBERRY COLOGNE (TOUCH) for men 3.3 oz. @ $40.50 each bottle. (Fullfillment ID number is 24191162) these items were were birthday gifts for 12/9/2015. On 12/1/2015 I received an email informing me that the order was canceled as they are out of stock. On 12/1, this pissed off customer went on their web page to reorder and was able to place the order if i wanted to. However this pissed off customer will go and purchase the item elsewhere. This is not how to treat customers. As a result of my aggravation I contacted Walgreens customer service and did speak to an associate, however she appeared to be tied for words and I was transferred to a supervisor. That was a waste of my time as she seemed to careless. With these type of attitudes they need to be removed from customer service and make it mandatory that they attend a training course. I don't believe the item is not in stock, I believe some one screwed up.

Walgreens in Wilmington, Delaware - Medication Madness

Walgreens pharmacies in Newark, Delaware are without a doubt the worst pharmacies in business. Prescriptions are submitted to insurance carriers numerous times (as many as 8). Medications are never in stock, taking as many as 3 days to fill. I signed up for automatic refills thinking that they would be ordered automatically when they were due to be filled. NOT THE CASE! I have dual insurance coverage which they can never get right. They have no problem telling you that you have to return the next day to pick up the remainder of your order. Maybe some people enjoy hanging out there, but I'm not one of them. I've spoke to several different pharmacists to convey my displeasure with their service, and have been treated rudely like they're the ones being inconvenienced. Very poor customer service!!!
