Denied fill for script at 24 hour store

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This is yet ANOTHER complaint/denial over the years to get a prescription filled. I brought my prescription (dated for same day) to a 24 hour pharmacy at 12:30 AM. They said they could not fill until 8:00AM. I've ALWAYS gotten them filled that time in the past. This is a 24 hour pharmacy why would they hold this until 8 a.m. It seems every few months or so something new happens and they try to hold my prescriptions. Well lo and behold, I went to another Pharmacy and guess what.... they filled my prescription. Walgreens was always my go-to Pharmacy but I will be changing pharmacies. Just 3 weeks ago a different prescription was being held for a day because they said it was too soon. I went back in and said you are wrong, she apologized and filled the prescription. Yet another one happened maybe a month ago where they did not give me a second refill insisting doctor only wrote one. Once again, they were wrong they read the prescription wrong. I will probably be fighting for that second prescription in a couple days. I could go on and on. I would like to file a formal complaint to the Walgreens in Round Lake on Rollins Road and Cedar Lake Road for the 12:30 a.m. denial of prescription.

Walgreens: Corner of Indifference and Exploitation of Consumers: Prospective customers run for your life!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I live in Bullhead City, Arizona. I am changing to a different pharmacy after repeated inaccuracies and miscommunication in my prescriptions! I became enlightened today more fully that I am dealing with a pharmacy and corporate office that does not want any direct communication with it's customers. They again did not re-fill the prescriptions I needed today....so I will get to do without the medication needed. These are other issues encountered: 1. An automated phone system designed to circumvent accurate, direct communication involving what prescriptions a senior citizen needs most. 2. automatic re-filling of prescriptions that a patient may not take regularly, but have re-fills remaining. This, I believe is not based on patient need, but on maximizing profit. 3. An employee admitted to me today that the phone system will not place a customer in direct communication with a customer if you choose PHARMACY 4. I made 9 calls today to determine which of my prescriptions was ready. I never got a call back, and had to make a trip to find out. I left 3 messages...no return phone call in over 3 hours....no apology when I went in....this is standard for them. One of the pharmacy workers was pleasant.....but it was too soon to re-fill the blood pressure medication I had left in a tote bag at work. It would only cost me $156.00 to pay out of pocket. Do not be misled that this company is here to help patients....especially if you are Medicare Age. I believe they are wish to maximize profit at the expense of their consumer's time and are totally indifferent to accurate communication or outcome with their customers! They have consistently blamed my insurance company....even when re-fills for what I needed had been authorized and the physician had sent the appropriate documentation. This is not the pharmacy anyone needs or deserves. K Welch

Preferred solution: How much is knowing your medication is available when you need it worth to you? It's not just about money, it's about putting more committed systems in place. It's ridiculous that you even only allow one component of the problem to be submitted.

Shorted prescription medication

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
On April 23 2017 A Community Walgreen's in Las Vegas shorted me 30 of 60 pills when they filled my prescription. I called and was told after they did a pill count that they were short on my pills so there is no way they miscounted. Something must have happened to them in between the time my elderly husband picked them up and brought them home. The bag was still stapled when I got them and I have a witness who saw me tear the bag open. It was stapled tight. I called the district manager and was assured that he would investigate the matter and get back to me. To date I have heard nothing. But the local media will soon get an earful from me. My husband knows nothing about my meds let alone do something with them.I will get the pills I am owed

Clerks Following me Around in Miami

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I noticed a disturbing trend, in three of the Walgreens Locations in 2 in Downtown Miami, and 1 in South Beach, I had two Clerks and even a 1 Manager Following me around the store as if I was going to steal something, It felt so inhumanly degrading and disrespectful for someone to follow me around like im a little kid unattended, How disrespectful to have a second shadow following you down every aisle. I was felt so violated and degraded I didn't want to continue shopping, How you going to be security and Clerk at the same time, Security would not even do that, please boycott this company until they are ready to make reparations for such behavior, Civil and Humans rights violations being filed and reported!

Do you realize how many items are stolen from stores? If you weren't stealing why worry about it?

Same problem. I will never go in Walgreens again

Walgreens - Adderall Prescription Refill Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Dear Walgreens, Please Fix the computer system in champaign Illinois Walgreens. I don't understand why a pharmacy doesn't have a policy for filling scripts when a small piece of the system is down.

It is a paper script so they can see the MD order and they filled another script on my insurance but said the computer isn't working to fill my Aderall. In healthcare we have policies in place to provide medicine to our patients. Hand write the label and chart the old fashion way and go back and chart in the computer when the computer is up.

Geez! It's patient care for goodness sake.

Received automated call for prescription refill and was told "oh well we don't trust that system and we don't have any medication so you can go to another store" the pharmacist then came to speak to me and told me he, himself doesn't trust the automated system and I need to call 1-800-WALGREENS for assistance. The rudest, most non helpful pharmacy employees I've ever encountered. I am contacting the BBB. Called in a prescription @ noon and was told it would be ready @1:30 pm. Went by at 4:00 pm. I waited for 30 minutes only to have them tell me that they hadn't started on it yet. The pharmacist was on the phone and couldn't be bothered. Only one assistant. I will move my business to Walmart where they will at least wait on you. *** poor service IMHO.

Not allowed to wait

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Just released from emergency room, stopped at Walgreens at noon to fill prescription for pain medication. Was told I could not wait for filling-it would take 1and 1/2 hours. Told them I had to wait-had to sit in uncomfortable chair for one hour while a pharmacists was sitting at a computer calling people st home to see if they wanted them to refill their prescriptions.

MIsleading ads

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Walgreens Hobbs NM, ad states buy 2 household cleaning products all brands get1 free. I buy 3 Clorox bleaches and take to counter, it did not take.

So the manager comes and says are they all the same size, I say it does not state it has to be. So he says ok to cashier to give it to me. He comes back very quickly to say Clorox is not a household cleaner. I say since when, I clean everything in my house with Clorox, since when is it not a household cleaner.

He replies because our isle that is labeled "household cleaners" does not contain Clorox. OMG I couldn't even speak from shock. This is misleading the public. If this is the case then your ad should state that....

"Household cleaning" isle only.

Until today I have never even looked at the isle signs I just know where things are. Don't trick your customers for a sale be straight up.

You got the deal...why complain about it?

Guest

Usually deals like that are signed per shelf and section for the specific buy X much get X much free deal(s). Helping narrow down what sections and shelves thst have items that qualify!

That way It makes it easier for slow people to understand. So if your Clorox wasn't in the area that they had marked with said signage that could be why it didn't come up! Don't be so quick to assume things yourself either! Because 99% of the time the customer is not right and just an incompetent nit wit who thinks they are entitled to get what they want.

No need to have a heart attack sweet heart. It's just a bottle of Clorox for god sake.

Walgreens Refused to Honor Gift Cards, cheats non-profit out of $4,586

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Our non-profit agency purchased nearly $5,000 worth of Walgreen's gift cards. When we attempted to use them, we were told they could not be used for nicotine replacement products (despite the fact that there are no restrictions on the cards or on the gift card section of their website). For the last 24 days, we have attempted to get a refund and have been ignored or stalled (we have also gotten conflicting stories on why the gift cards didn't work). Walgreens told the Better Business Bureau that they were waiting on information from us and that, "Once this inforamtion [sic] is received a refund can be processed." Yesterday, however, they said that they weren't sure if or how a refund could be processed because "all sales are final." Today we were told the gift cards were deactivated but they are still waiting on "next steps" and "a timeline to resolve." Meanwhile, as they wait, our non-profit is out nearly $5,000 and clients do not have access to smoking cessation products. Thanks very much for your support. Kirsten Burkhart

Nicotine??? Non-profit???

Shreiks of SCAM SCAM SCAM. Are you not aware that people are buying items like this to "resell" at a profit to minors? You should be applauding Walgreens for trying to prevent things like this happening. I'm sure that Walgreens has something else that would be helpful to these people.

Gee what happened to the old fashion way of quitting? Just quit.

Guest

That's a rather strange product for a "nonprofit" to wish to purchase via a large amount in gift cards. They likely smelled FRAUD.

As a private company they do reserve the right to deny purchases for any reason they see fit. Surely there is something else your nonprofit could use besides "nicotine replacement products" ....

Accused as a thief

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
After a harrowing experience with a sales clerk, I accidentally walked out with some cigarettes in my purse. As soon as I reach my home and realized what I had done. Allen right back up to the store. Manager said he had called police on me , I returned to the store and manager was extremely rude, kept telling me I stole the cigarettes, didn't once bother to thank me for being honest, total discrimination!!!! Thank Obama for that!!!!

So are you blaming your thievery on the harrowing sales clerk, Obama, or both? Clearly it is not YOUR fault ...

Guest

Really! Get a life.

Guest

Umm... i was with you until you blamed Obama. Now i think you're just ***.

Machele Imf

The only question I have is why Obama was involved in your theft of cigarettes at a Walgreen. I know he smokes, but really?

Total dissapointment

My wife was just operated on. I took her prescription to the store about 3:00 pm. When I returned to pick it up at 6:30 I was told they couldn't get ahold of the doctor so the script couldn't be filled. WHY was I not called and informed of the problem. WHY did my wife have to spend the night up in pain because the people at the store on Siegen didn't care enough to bother. I personally have a maintenance drug at the same store I will be taking elsewhere. If this is how you do business maybe you should just stick to selling groceries. What is the purpose in adding more words I said what needed to be said deal with it

Expensive substitute!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Walgreens - Expensive substitute!!!

Duane Reade located at 105 Brighton Beach Ave, Brooklyn, NY. On March 27th Pharmacy was trying to substitute prescribed Benicar (copay $38.30) with generic Olmesartan (copay $126.32).

When I asked the pharmacist for a least expensive option he did not even try to help to check the price of the brand name medication. Had to refuse the substitute, ask my doctor to prescribe an alternative and do my homework on drug pricing. It's not happening for the first time. I found out that prescribed vit D3 is not covered by my insurance and this drug is available OTC at fraction of the cost.

Is it the company policy to screw their customers?!?! Morally and financially???

Walgreens - Prescription Refill Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
ZERO STARS!!!!! The Walgreens in Liberty MO is horrible for customer service and professionalism. I will never ever shop here again. I went online at 9:30 am to refill my water pill and put that i would be picking them up by 6 pm same day. Went i pulled up in the drive through at 6:39 pm only were they not ready they said they didn't even have the order for the refill even though i received a confirmation email at 9:39 am. Then they have the nerve to ask me to come back. *** NO this is on you... I sat right on that at drive thru. They have the rudest pharmacist and techs. I hate this place. That's why i drive all the way from Liberty to Grandview to shop at a local owned pharmacy and not these corporate ***!!!

Pharmacy in Woodward sucks

elderly called pharmacy spoke with pharmacist and asked if they had certain product, he said they did. I drove her to the pharmacy and pulled up to pharmacy window and asked employee for product, she told me we had to come in, (she said she wasn't able to come in.) I pulled around and went in store for her, marched myself back to pharmacy the two of employees just sitting on their butts, I asked her again about the tube of product, she pointed (instead of going to get it for me) I go and spend 10 minutes searching the shelves looking for product, never found. went back to pharmacy asked pharmacist where it was, then she says we don't have product. I said you got to be kidding me, she called and spoke with someone, we drive up to window, and I come in and all three times you tell me you have the product. I will never honor your store
