I'VE BEEN GOING TO STORE # 5131 ADDRESS: 1040401 LITTLE RD. FOR YRS.

I HAVE MANY R.X's filled monthly. RACHAEL, THE PHARMACIST ASKED ME VERY PERSONAL QUESTIONS IN FRONT OF MANY PEOPLE WHICH WAS HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AS MY "PHYSICIAN TOLD ME" AS WELL AS MY MY PSYCHIATRIST ALSO WAS ALSO "LIVID ABOUT" RACHAEL TOLD ME TO GO TO A "PAIN CLINIC" I INFORMED HER THAT MY DR. IS AGAINST THIS & TO CALL HIM, SHE WAS TAKEN ABACK & REFUSED TO DO SO. RACHAEL ALSO INFORMED ME TO TAKE ONE R/X TO ANOTHER CHAIN!

CHECK MY RECORDS AS ONE R/X IS ALOMST $500.00 I ALSO WAS GETTING MY FLU SHOTS EVERY YR. @ THIS STORE. RACHAEL MADE ME FEEL LIKE SHE WAS DOING ME A "FAVOR" BY FILLING ALL OF MY R/X's. I never had a problem when Nick was @ this store, he was professional, pleasant & VERY ACCOMIDATING.

NICK WAS TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER STORE. HE WAS GREAT TO DEAL WITH.

WELL, AMONG MANY OTHER PROBLEMS W/RACHAEL I TOOK HER ADVICE & TRANSFERRED EVERYTHING TO ANOTHER PHARMACY & THEY WERE MORE THAN HAPPY TO GET MY BUSINESS & ARE EXTREMELY NICE TO ME. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

Product or Service Mentioned: Walgreens Pharmacist.

The description of your situation is not exactly clear, but it seems as if you presented a pain medication to the pharmacy written by a psychiatrist. While a psychiatrist is a MD, writing for pain medications is outside of their scope of practice.

This is probably why the pharmacist refused the prescription and referred you to see an MD specializing in pain management. Also the fact that one Rx costs you $500 more than likely means you are not processing it through insurance (unless you have the worst insurance ever).

The fact that the Rx was written outside of the scope of practice of the prescriber and the fact that you are most likely not processing through insurance are 2 HUGE red flags. I'm sure the other pharmacy you use now does like your business because you pay out of pocket (insurance reimbursements are terrible) so they make money off of your Rx, but they won't be too happy if the DEA comes poking around.....
