After this incident, I contracted both corporate customer support and the store manager about this. Here is what happened and the complaint I sent Walgreens.
Both sent me one, form email and then never responded again. I understand the staffing issues everybody has, and the stress that has been created with many in all walks of life. The level of customer service in almost every company has declined in the past year. because of the stress and workload involved.
It is something we all have to deal with routinely.
As a very long time customer of this location both for the Pharmacy and other items, and in general the level of service has usually been quite good, but declining in the past few years. We would fill all our scripts there, and my family and I would shop for many things 3 to 5 times a week. In fact I have a Walgreens credit card. Never in the past have I felt unwelcome in the store, or felt our business was an imposition rather than something desired.
In this case, we were there to pick up 4 prescriptions, make a return (for the first time ever) and grab some snacks for the teenagers between after school events.
I left without the prescriptions, without making the return, without the snacks, and frankly, feeling physically threatened as well as challenged in general overall.
The "assistant Manager" they called out, Liam, to handle the return at the photo area was the most rude human I have encountered in years.
Two of the items being returned had a receipt, one did not. He literally said he would do me the favor of doing the return on two of the items, but stated, "I'm not returning that." as he pointed to the third item. (note, the combined value of all three items was less the $20) I asked way, and he stated "because I don't want to" Asking for a reason, he indicated it's his choice and he just was not going to do it. As if he was daring me to respond in any way.
There was no thought of service in his mind. I was totally an issue for him, not a customer, of no value and someone to be pushed aside as fast as possible.
The people behind me were just shaking their heads in disbelief as well. As he stalked off, after refusing to do any part of the return, his coworker said he is not normally like that, but when I attempted to ask if there was something that set him off, she also said she did not feel comfortable continuing and that I could talk to the manager in the morning.
I am perplexed by both the employees' attitudes to be honest. I'm a 67 year old Doctor, was dressed in a suit, and not thought of as demanding or out of control in any way.
But I am also never intimidated and will never stand for being treated as poorly as I was particularly when it was obvious that he was trying to physically intimidate/threaten me as well.
I asked to talk to the manager, and his response was an angry I could not, because the "manager had left".
Again, staffing is an issue everywhere. But it's time to take a stand and not accept the treatment that is being handed up to us by companies making billions on us yearly.R

Not concerned with covid safety
Went in Walgreens at 1861 Remount Rd N. Chas SC.
No hand sanitiser, both stations were empty. My wife is a kidney transplant recipient with a compromised immune system. Whene I asked about had sanitiser I was ignored by employee named London. so i told my wife I guess Ill go and get some oof the aisle.
Thats when London exploded with aggression and said Hand sanitiser was behind the counter. I said ok. Then she jsut stood there. I said well do you want me to go behind the counter and get it myself?
She became loud and aggressive. When I responded accordingly, another employee interjected with the same accusatory aggression. After a back and forth, giving her the same respect I was receiving , I was asked to leave. I did.
Wont be back. CVS is across the street/ Moved all of my wifes prescriptions to the other drug store.

What does Walgreens consider a month concerning script refills? Does 4 weeks = 28 days? Or is a month the number of days in that given month? There has to be a concrete company policy in place.
Problem with pharmacist
