I went to Walgreens and bought asixpack of summer shandy. The bar code did not ring up so a worker went and looked. Told cashier it was 13.99 where I thought it was 7.99. I then checked out, but went back into store because I felt that price was wrong. When I went to...

Walgreens - Horrible Mail Service Pharmacy

Our insurance company forced us to use Walgreens Mail Service for our mail service prescriptions, and it takes forever to get them filled, when they actually fill them. I ordered my husband's two medications over a month ago, and they never show up as being ordered when I check status. When they do actually fill them it takes them at least a week to get here. We used to order from PPSRX, and they would get here no later than two days later. Since my husband's prescriptions are again not showing as being ordered, I am going to check to see what they would cost from PPSRX. I would rather pay for them than to deal with this every 90 days.

I USED to shop Walgreens weekly when I received the flyer. Not anymore, since we now need a card to get sale prices. Those sale prices were comparable BEFORE the card came into play. I will not put my information out there or let "whoever"know what I am buying.Too...

Always makes the company WALGREENS look bad when you have employees debating customers. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A STORE THAT DOESN'T HAVE A EXTRA CARD AT THE REGISTER TO GIVE ALL THE CUSTOMERS THE DISCOUNT PRICE.

WALGREEN's needs to get with it. EXTRA discount card at the register will go far with sales or keep up the nonsense and lose profits to CVS/WALMART/SUPERMARKETS

HEY EVERYBODY TYPE IN IdgieThreadgoode IN THE SEARCH OPTION AND SEE THAT ALL SHE DOES IS POST TO COMPLAINTS TO PUT DOWN THE CUSTOMER & THE COMPLAINTANT. SHE USED TO USE THE NICKNAME LADYSCOT. TYPE IT IN AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THE POSTS ARE WORDED IN THE SAME MANNER AS IdgieThreadgoode = LadyScot.

Obviously du. mb.

a. s..s Idgie doesn't know how refills work these days. The pharmacy contacts the dr office to authorize refills. I don't necessarily agree with it but that is how it is done at all pharmacies.

The doctors office will even say have the pharmacy call us...so it is the pharmacist that contacts the dr for prescription refills. IdgieThreadgoode+LadyScot= IGNORANT *** CK. ING. B.

You don't know how refills work. The dr tells u to come back in a year to get ur bloodwork done and u say ok, please give me a years worth of refills on the life saving medicine, thanks!

See how much easier that is then, calling the pharmacy every month and saying I need a refill, so call my dr and ask him for me because he says to get u to ask for it instead of me. Of course things to easier with the less people involved, u get a 3rd party involved it just complicates things

I wonder why you think it is anyone but your own responsibility to get your doctor to write refills. He is your doctor, not theirs.

When my husband needs refills of his heart medication we call the doctor.

I do not expect my pharmacist to be my personal slave for cripes sake. Call your dang doctor yourself.

THEY DO OFFER A SERVICE CALLED AUTO-FILL.. LOOK IT UP, OR PUT IN A REQUEST YOURSELF TO HAVE A MEDICATION REFILLED.

Why not request your doctor to write out more refills for your prescription. If it is a controlled they need to get the OK from the MD, I see nothing wrong with what there doing!

I am pissed! Walgreen's pharmacist has been calling me to check that I am O K. Isn't that nice that they have such concern for my well being? The pharmacist tells me that Humana, my pharmacy plan provider, is also concerned about my health. Seems that they have...

This happens for 2 reasons

1. Medicare plans are required to provide certain services to target groups of patients based on specified criteria. This often includes such calls as part of that program.

2. Meds are only covered because they keep you healthily and often prevent more expensive care such as hospitalization and ER visits. If you elect not to take these meds, they have just paid for essentially expensive *** on the days you decide you want to take the medicine and also will likely incur additional expenses due to doctor visits, more meds to address problems being treated because you do not admit to not taking what's already prescribed, and in some cases ER visits and hospital stays.

The call was very likely at the insistence of your insurance. They often feel like you are more likely to work with someone you know from the pharmacy vs a nurse in a call center. And if the insurance was kind enough to pay the pharmacy for this service, it was a nominal amount. The pharmacy is often only receiving a few dollars above the cost of the medicine to fill a prescription, and it is often less than the overhead involved.
